The Europe for Citizens program is intended to co-finance international projects aimed at encouraging active European citizenship. By connecting the inhabitants of local communities in Europe and networking non-governmental and other organizations that operate within the framework of civil society, the European Union wants to improve the participation of civil society in the formation of Europe.
As partners, we applied for a tender at the beginning of June and were successful with as many as two projects.

From the remaining funds for rural development of the Leader program in the period 2007-2013, LAS Srce Slovenije also allocated funds for the Goodness from the Heart project, which was registered by the Association of Rural Women and Girls Polšnik, as the applicant and the Association for Rural Development Laz As a partner.

As part of the ECRC - European Information Center for Civil Society project, which is implemented by the Rural Development Association LAZ, we invite members of the association to the workshop Learning about good practices in the implementation of the projects of the Europe for Citizens program, which will be held on July 6 and 7, 2013

The gathering of young people is made possible by the European program Youth in Action. The LAZ association joins partners from other European countries when applying for tenders for youth exchanges. The program finances almost all costs, participants contribute only 30% of transport costs. This year's first group of young people from Jablaniška dolina has already returned from Hungary, the second is leaving on August 25, 2013.
