The LAZ Society is one of the 85 non-governmental organizations that joined the campaign NGO goes to school. The campaign is a good opportunity to present our programs for elementary school students. Quite a few schools regularly visit our permanent collection of pebbles in Breg pri Litija. However, we wish that there would be even more visits and that all generations of students from Lithuanian and Šmarsk schools, as well as from other Slovenian places, would get to know the local environment, the Sava River, the creation of the Earth and the stories told by the Sava pebbles. On Thursday, October 6 we will be presented at Litija Elementary School from 8:30 to 12:30, and in the afternoon from 4 to 7 p.m. at the elementary school in Šmartne At Litija.
The initiators of the STA campaign the junction of NGO central Slovenia and ZLHT Regional NGO Center. The aim of the campaign is to encourage the integration of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) with primary schools in the local environment. Through their activities and programs, non-governmental organizations in the local environment can offer an experiential and experiential way of educating young people.
The purpose of the campaign ‘NGO goes to school’ is the presentation of non-governmental organizations and their activities, programs and projects to students and teachers, to acquaint students with various leisure activities with the possibility of active involvement in the local environment, and to include activities or programs of non-governmental organizations in the implementation of the school curriculum.
In the 2016/2017 school year, during Children’s Week, the ‘No goes to school’ campaign is carried out on the days from October 4 to 8 in the Osrednjeslovenska, Zasavska and northern Primorje regions. The action contributes to the establishment of local partnerships and inter-sectoral cooperation between primary school and non-governmental organizations from the local environment.
