Eleven dm volunteers responded to the work campaign that took place on June 20, 2014 on the route of the Jablanica route. Drogerie Markt is a socially responsible company that encourages employees to do something good for the local community. The LAZ association reported the need for help in arranging the Jablanica path through the intersection of NGOs Central Slovenia. The company contributed material for the new benches, paint, brushes and a snack, and the volunteers painted the benches, restored the markings, removed the branches, blackberries and picked up the garbage on the way, which was almost non-existent. Four members of the association and some locals along the way joined the campaign.
The volunteer campaign is proof that, despite the economic crisis, companies are ready to listen to the needs of societies and help them implement the program. Our experience is very good, we spent a pleasant day together and did something useful for our community.
In addition to the work done, we also contributed to the recognition of our Jablanica path. The participants of the campaign will take part in the April hike and tell their friends and acquaintances about the Jablaniška path, which they marked.
