The event will be both educational and social. Everyone who soaks flowers in brandy is invited to participatece and herbs for the homemade ‘jagermaister’ and/and you like to bake štrukeljce, as well as everyone else who likes to come to good company. The evaluation of the products will be purely informative, so you are invited to join those who are just acquiring this knowledge and want to upgrade it. We will be happy to have any brandy and štrukeljca sample. We are preparing an interesting and pleasant social evening.
This year we will evaluate the štruklje and the ‘home jeger’, which are most typical of the Jablanica valley and are prepared in several ways. Each sample that you bring for evaluation will be professionally evaluated by a three-member committee, and you will receive recognition for your participation.
TERMS OF COOPERATION
Herbal brandy:
- The owner of the sample lives in the area of Jablaniška dolina and/or is a member of the Society for Rural Development Laz.
- Herbal brandy should contain between 30 and 50% alcohol level.
- Sample 0.25 L is delivered to the premises of the LAZ association, Ponoviška cesta 12, 1270 Litija by Friday 27 November 2015 at 2:00 p.m., or to the premises of the fire station in Zg. Jablanica on Saturday 28.11. between 10 and 11 am.
- The sample is accompanied by a form (in the attachment) with the following information: first and last name and address of the manufacturer, name of the product, quantity of the submitted sample, ingredients, list of additives, duration of use of the product, date of manufacture.
Štrukeljci:
- We will divide the štrukeljce into two groups: walnut and other (tarragons, apple, hazelnut, chocolate)
- The owner of Štrukeljce lives in the area of Jablaniška dolina and/or is a member of the Society for Rural Development Laz.
- The amount for evaluation should be about 0.25 kg of štrukeljc (about 10 pieces).
- The bag should be marked with the following information (form in the attachment): first and last name and address of the manufacturer, name of the product, quantity of the submitted sample, ingredients, list of additives, duration of usefulness of the product, date of manufacture.
- The sample is delivered to the premises of the fire station in Zg, Jablanica on Sunday, November 29, 2015 between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m.
The event will take place in the following sequence:
- On Wednesday 25 November 2015 in the afternoon at the fire station Zg. Jablanica Creative workshops for children on the topic of heritage.
- Sunday, 29/11/2015 morning – the committee evaluates herbal spirits,
- Sunday, 29/11/2015 in the afternoon – the commission evaluates the štrukeljce,
- Sunday, 29/11/2015 at 4:00 p.m. start:
- A cultural program in which guests will participate: folk singers and string players from Gradež in Dolenjska, ŽPZ Laz, and Jablaniška youth with their exhibition of creations on the theme of heritage,
- A short lecture on the usefulness of plants from nature for herbal and medicinal spirits, biologist dr. Janko Rode,
- Address of the member of the evaluation commission Lijana Lovša ‘All about the štrukeljci’,
- Announcing the results of a professional evaluation and awarding awards,
- social encounter with music.
