Summer museum night in the permanent collection of pebbles on Breg pri Litija, June 20

On Saturday, June 20, the doors of the permanent exhibition of Sava pebbles, which is unique in Europe, will be opened free of charge for all visitors at Breg pri Litija. We invite you to take time between 18:00 and 24:00 on this day, when the shortest night of the year will be upon us. The event will connect culture with social life in the village.

Summer Museum Night It is a traditional joint campaign of open doors of Slovenian museums, permanent collections and galleries. This year, this all-Slovenian campaign is joined by a permanent exhibition of pebbles from the Sava River, exhibited in the premises of the fire station in Breg pri Litija, which is managed by the Laz Rural Development Association.

The permanent collection will be available on this day for free late into the night. The accompanying cultural and entertainment program will also be one more reason to visit. In this way, we want to increase the visibility of the permanent collection of Sava pebbles, which is unique in Europe. The event is also an opportunity to get to know the other attractions of the villages of Breg and Tenetiše.

The LAZ Society will invite experts in the field of geology and history as guests. Cultural groups will brighten up the evening with singing, playing, etc.

The collection of Sava pebbles and the field of geology will be adapted and presented even for the youngest, who will be able to participate in creative workshops.

The neighboring Paternoster homestead will also open its doors on the Summer Museum Night and welcome visitors.

We invite you to take your time on Saturday, June 20, when the shortest night of the year will be upon us, and take part in the event at Breg pri Litija, which will take place from 6 to 12 p.m.

The event will connect culture with social life in the village.
