In the past years, the LAZ association participated as a partner in international youth exchanges of the Youth in Action program and thus enabled young people from the Jablaniška Valley to participate in seven to nine-day exchanges abroad. In the first call for proposals of the new Erasmus + program, the association successfully applied for European funds as an applicant for the exchange in the Jablaniška Valley. The project called ‘Samozrepna vas’ will be implemented from August 20 to 29, 2014 in Breg pri Litija, and the participants come from Latvia, Sicily, Bulgaria. Young people from Jablaniška dolina are welcome to participate in the youth exchange, the stay and program is free for the first seven registrants. Applications to mail or by phone 070 303 321. We are also looking for animators or youth workers who would like to get involved in the implementation of the project.
Youth exchanges are aimed at socializing young people from various European countries, creating networks and, last but not least, ‘practicing’ the English language and broadening horizons.
The ten-day program will take place at Šepč’s Paternoster homestead in Breg pri Litija and in the surrounding area. Of course, we will also present our capital Ljubljana and the tourist attractions of our area to the guests. A special experience will be a visit to the adventure park on Slivna.
