Gabrijela Babič received a special award from the Tourist Association of Slovenia

On the occasion of the Days of Slovenian Tourism 2014 in Portorož, on 14 October 2014, it is
The Tourist Association of Slovenia awarded the president of the LAZ association, Gabrijela Babič, a special award for diligent volunteering for her work in the Society for Rural Development Laz.

The award was presented by the president of the Tourist Association of Slovenia, Peter Misja, in the presence of more than 200 representatives of tourist associations from Slovenia..

In the explanation, the successful management of the LAZ association was established, which Gabrijela (Jelka) Babič has been leading since its foundation in 2004, and numerous achievements and results in the field of contribution to the development of rural, tourism, work with young people and integration at local, national and European level.

The event was held as part of the TZS consultation, at which, among other things, the importance of registering societies in the list of volunteer and organizational events in the list of AJPES was highlighted. Managing the work of volunteers can be a convincing argument in the allocation of public funds for the operation of societies.

The professional part of the conference was devoted to the stories that Slovenian tourism is betting on. After the professional introduction, there was work in groups, with the aim of learning to write stories and place them in events that are the main ‘tourist product’ of societies.
The meeting of tourism workers is also an opportunity to exchange experiences and good practices. As in several years, there was a lot of talk about the necessary rejuvenation of societies and the inclusion of young people.

The Development Center of the Heart of Slovenia also joins in the congratulations for the recognition received.
