At the initiative of the diligent firefighters of PGD Breg, we joined the work action at the completion of the renovation of the facade at the fire station. The work plan was extensive: laying curbs and pavers around the building, renovation of the garage door, renovation of the toilet, painting of the door, mowing of grass on the children’s playground, cleaning and removal of excess material. We girls cleaned all the windows and the room where the pebble collection is.
We are very happy about the new facade, which the associations (firemen, sports and LAZ) and KS deserved by organizing the Strawberry and Asparagus Day event. We believe that the renovated fire station is a source of pride for all the villagers and that they will be happy to use it.
Volunteer firefighters are the driving force of village development from generation to generation. In each generation, there are individuals who do a lot for the community and deserve thanks for all the volunteer hours they spend on joint actions.
The permanent exhibition of Sava pebbles, which can be seen in the fire station, is interesting for visitors to the neighboring tourist farm and one-day excursionists.
Together with the children’s playground and lawn, which was bought by the Municipality of Litija for the sports field and the arrangement area, the fire station is the village center for locals and visitors.
