Visitors to the Summer Museum Night on Breg event were impressed by the program.
On Saturday evening, June 20, it was very lively on Breg pri Litija. The doors of the permanent exhibition of the collection of Sava pebbles, located in the fire station in Breg pri Litija, were open to every visitor. The collection was included in the all-Slovenian project Summer Museum Night
On Saturday evening, June 20, it was very lively on Breg pri Litija. The doors of the permanent exhibition of the collection of Sava pebbles, located in the fire station in Breg pri Litija, were open to every visitor. The collection was included in the all-Slovenian project Summer Museum Night. On this occasion, the Laz Association, Jablaniška dolina, organized an evening event. The visitors were impressed by the varied program, which took place between 6 and 12 p.m.
The youngest, under the mentorship of representatives of the U3 association from Litija, created with acrylic paints with which they painted pebbles. With the help of geologist Maja, they learned about and separated sedimentary rocks and performed simple chemical tests. Adult visitors listened to the presentations in the collection rooms. Curator of the Lithuanian Museum, Mrs. Helena Hauptman presented traffic on the Sava river once upon a time, Mr. Jože Sinigoj, a local genealogist, revealed where the roots of the Jug family from Breg pri Litija go. Judging by his research, they go back to the beginning of the 17th century. During the presentations, the visitors learned a lot about the wealth of pebbles, the heritage associated with life along the Sava and on Breg pri Litija.
In the second part of the evening, the program was enriched by members of the Valvazor octet, zither players from the Society of Pensioners Litija and the local women’s choir of the LAZ association. They sang together late into the night or In the morning. an event organized by the association lie despite the cold evening, it was a great success, and just as the deputy mayor of the municipality of Litija, Lijana Lovše, said, we would like the association’s volunteers to persist with the event for many years to come.
