On Sunday, May 24, 2015, the Association for the Development of Rural Laz, in cooperation with ŽRD Litija, held the 7th traditional event, Day of Strawberries and Asparagus in Breg pri Litija.
After the prolonged rains, the weather was sunny and pleasant on the day of the event, so a large number of visitors from near and far watched the culinary event.
Visitors could treat themselves to homemade strawberry desserts, pancakes and ice cream. Fresh and juicy strawberries and asparagus could be bought. Culinary gourmets were catered for, as the chef from the cafe and snack bar at the bridge prepared delicious asparagus dishes, and the members of the žRD Litija arranged for grilled dishes and drinks.
Visitors could spin to the sounds of the lithium echo, the children were taken care of in the children’s corner, and fun sports games were also held. artisans.
In the fire station in Breg pri Litija, the LAZ association manages a permanent collection of Sava pebbles, which could not be viewed on that day. In order to hold such an extensive event, the organizer also needs premises to prepare for the event, on this occasion we apologize to all those who wanted to see the collection on this day. In the association, we are looking for a solution so that it will be possible to view the collection during the next editions of this event, and with this we will also help to popularize the geological collection.
