At the beginning of 2013, the Laz Rural Development Association started implementing activities within the framework of the ECRC (European Civil Resource Center) partner project. 7 partners from Greece, Latvia, Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, Austria and Slovenia participate in the project. The purpose of the project is to establish a European information center for civil society in each participating country, which will be located in Litija and will provide assistance to individuals and non-governmental organizations and municipalities in applying and implementing the projects of the Europe for Citizens program. The program promotes active European citizenship, meetings of European citizens and joint thematic projects, etc..
The project activity is also the training of mentors and consultants to support interested parties who would implement their activities through the Europe for Citizens program. The seminar, which took place between April 10 and 12, was attended by all participating partners who established stronger ties and determined new project activities. As part of the workshop, they acquired knowledge and competences about managing the suborder information center, which already operates at Ponoviška 12 in Litija. The door is open to everyone who is looking for advice and help in applying for the Europe for Citizens program calls. The next deadline for applications is June 1.
