The Society for Rural Development Laz from Jablaniška dolina attended a meeting of project partners in Kistarcs in Hungary. At the meeting, the LAZ Women’s Choir presented itself.
Within the European the Europe for Citizens project: ‘Citizens – The True Heart of the EU’ we are representatives association LAZ participated in the culinary event ‘Festival Kolin’.
On Friday, February 6, we set off on our way to the city of Kircsca, which is located in the suburbs of Budapest. In the evening, the hosts, together with the other project partners, welcomed us in the multi-purpose hall, where we had a meeting evening. The purpose of the project is to connect and socialize people from different European countries. The event was attended by over 180 participants. The mentioned project connects nine partners from six countries (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia).
It was held on Saturday morning conference, at which our association successfully presented itself. In addition to all the project partners, the conference was attended by local representatives of Hungary and journalists.
The hosts took us around the city of Kistarcs, which is known for what happened from the Second World War. We were introduced to a concentration camp for political prisoners, which operated until the 1950s. We were impressed by the tour of the capital of Hungary, Budapest. We enjoyed the wonderful panoramic views of the historic city, the mighty buildings and bridges on the Danube that separate Buddha and Pest.
During the day they met at the Kolin festival competed teams of butchers from different countries in meat processing. Hungarian cuisine is very recognizable, so we were happy to taste their products. The singers ŽPZ LAZ presented their program at the final event When the winners of the competition teams were announced, where they received a big round of applause.
During the meeting, they forged new ties and friendships and ideas for new connecting projects. Full of new impressions we went home.
