At the invitation of the Heart of Slovenia Development Center, which is a partner of the project in Slovakia, the president of the association also attended the first project event in Slovakia LAZ Jelka Babič, who is also a member of the Development Council of LAS Srce Slovenije.
Participation in the event was a good opportunity to get to know projects in the Slovenian-Hungarian border area, as well as partners from many countries, who use projects to promote the development of the countryside, the preservation of natural and cultural heritage, as well as promote tourism and entrepreneurship.
The content of the LAGS4EU project is the transfer of examples of good LAS project practices between different European countries. Slovak colleagues in LAS Krizska Nema, a border town on the Danube, showed us the results of numerous cross-border projects financed by the European Regional Development Fund, and some smaller ones also from Leader funds.
They pay a lot of attention to village centers, facilities for socializing, nurturing culture, as well as the development of tourism.
