The General Assembly of the Association for Rural Development LAZ, which was held on March 20, 2015, was an opportunity to review the activities of the association in the past year and the work program this year. In addition to established events, lectures, trips, we will implement quite a few projects, among which the largest and most demanding project is DOCPIE – Democratic Ownership and Civic Participation in Europe.
With the project, 15 partners from 13 countries will promote active citizenship and the involvement of civil society in decision-making processes at the local and European level. At four events – in Dresden, Greek Serres, Verona and Ljubljana, ways and opportunities for greater involvement of civil society will be processed. The LAZ association is the leading partner and coordinator of the project. The project is financed by the European Commission, the Europe for Citizens program.
