On January 30, 2010, around 50 locals from the Jablaniška Valley took part in a night hike to Gradišče. The night was magical….
On the first full moon this year, we set off from several directions around eight o’clock in the evening towards Gradišče. Small snow was falling, despite the high cloud cover, the moonlight was strong enough to follow the well-kept paths through the forest from Breg, Tenetiš, Gradiški Lazov and Jablanica. Some also lit themselves with torches and headlamps.
At nine in the evening we met at the church of St. Magdalene, pulled goodies out of their backpacks, shared them and signed on to the hikers’ book.
As for the participation, the night hikers from Tenetiš convincingly won. Only who stayed at home, because the boys from the Breg-Tenetiše Sports Association went to Veliko Planina for night sledding.
Satisfied that we had done something for ourselves and for good company, we promised ourselves that on the next full moon – on Saturday, which is closest – we will meet again at nine in the evening. St. Magdalene
