December 26, 2014, Zgornja Jablanica, Šmartno pri Litija:
When the winter sun was already losing its strength, even before the announced start of the event, the hall of the new fire station in Zgonja Jablanica began to fill. Children, from the smallest to teenagers, came with their parents, grandmothers and grandfathers to the show and, of course, to get the gifts that Santa Claus brings every year. The volunteers of the LAZ association provided a relaxing fun program, gifting children and the oldest, and feasting. The event was supported by the municipality of Šmartno pri Litija, both financially and with an address by Mayor Rajko Meserek.
The meeting of locals on the day after Christmas became traditional, as several locals from the Jablaniška Valley take part in it every year. The new hall is much bigger than the previous one in the old fire station in Zgornja Jablanica, and it turns out that it is too small for such events. It is gratifying that there are many children in the valley and that young parents continue the tradition of socializing of previous generations.
Every generation of children is braver to come on stage without fear and participate in the program. The wizard Marechare impressed them with magic that the children helped him with.
Some parents encourage their children to participate in the program. This year, the children of the wider family of the Rozin family made the hall laugh with their skit in the school class and made an enthusiastic applause.
Santa Claus also gifted the children with toys this year.
Singing has always been very popular in the Jablaniška Valley. Two years ago, the LAZ association united almost twenty girls and women in the Laz Women’s Choir, led by music teacher Ana Tori. The choir’s performance is a welcome event of local events.
In the second part of the program, the new mayor Rajko Meserko joined the locals. He emphasized that only by connecting and cooperating can we do more together for the well-being of citizens and the improvement of life in the municipality. He wished happy holidays and wished him luck in the new year.
The performance of the play Pridi gola to dinner performed by Kug Vidovo from Šentvid pri Stični made the audience laugh and put the finishing touches on a very good event, which was also prepared this year by the members of the LAZ association.
